Further to my letter No. 8945/A. T. dated 18th instant.
I beg to report that the Keilway has been continuously raided by
Japanese planes between the 19th and 21st instant:-
19th OCTOBEL. VAST IVER DISTRICT.
5 planes attacked the as: River Bridge at noon when
3 bombe were dropped into the water, 2 on the water edge behind
the Turntable, and 1 in the Sheklung yard next to the aunning
Shed. A heap of sleepers vas bunt. No damage to the bridge
or track was done.
20th OCTOBAR, DAUT HIVJA DISTRACT
3 planes raided this district at 4.45 hours. 3 bomba
were launched aiming at the East River Bridge; 1 bomb dropped
into the water, 1 near the Turntable damaging part of the Kunning
Shed, and 1 near the Sectional Chief of Engineering Section's
office building the roof of which was slightly damaged. No
damage to the bridge or track was done.
3 planes again raided the Railway at 8.00 hours,
between Sheklung and Cheung Muk Tou, but no damage was done to
the Railway.
At about 18.30 hours the same day 3 planes again
attacked the East River Bridge when 6 bombs were dropped in that
vicinity, but without any damage to the bridge or track. The
track at Km. 93) was also raided in the same afternoon by 3
planes. 6 bombs were dropped but no damage was done to the
Pailway.
